January 2021
We had a pleasure of meeting Kate McGuire the Founder of Converted Closet. The mission of Converted Closet is to create sustainable fashion by finding vintage pieces and modernize them.
We transformed an old cape of hers by relining it with a fabulous textile that she found as leftover from an interior designer project and replacing the binding with leather.

February 2021
This elegant emerald green cotton dress by Alaïa features lace cut outs at the skirt and a wide belt with gathering on top and bottom.
March 2021
We worked on this colorful plaid jacket by Sid Mashburn for one of our special clients. From the range of colors to the luxurious wool fabric, it was one of our favorite jackets to work on.

This gorgeous silk chiffon blouse by Alberta Ferretti is truly a work of art on it’s own. From the delicate lace trim at the bottom, to the abundance of ruffles along the neckline and sleeves, this was a sight to see in our studio.

This jacket by Rick Owens is the epitome of cool, from the exaggerated shoulders to the leather top-stitched panels : be prepared for the attention you’ll get at the next loft party in Brooklyn or the Lower East Side.

This impeccable tuxedo by Alexander McQueen is encrusted with divinely assorted beading. The metallic and silver beads along with the jewels make this jacket look fit for a royal.

This silk coat designed by Emmanuel Ungaro features the most impeccable and unique embroidery in the back: From the satin patch motifs adorned with crystals, to rare silk chiffon lining, to the elegant fur collar, this coat is truly unparalleled in design.
The story behind this coat as described by one of our special clients states that she owns one of the last vintage pieces that she purchased in the 1980s. We specialize in restoring vintage items from Mugler to Chanel, we make sure the items looks to the original state.
